Ashraf is a gem. His calm demeanor is very reassuring, and his constructive criticism is a perfect approach. I chose the 3 hour tune-up package, as I have a long driving experience outside Canada, but he understood that I had to do a lot of unlearning and relearning. I was going through tough life circumstances, so I thought of postponing the road test, but his warm coaching style and professionalism encouraged me to take the test and ace it. I can’t recommend enough.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I needed to schedule a couple of driving lessons prior to an exam and Ashraf was able to squeeze me in the schedule on a very short notice. The lessons were very productive and I’ve received lots of good hints on what to pay attention to during the exam. I passed with no issues. I can definitely recommend for people who have driving experience outside of Canada and want to get accustomed to the way of driving here!

I honestly can’t recommend Vancouver Driving School enough. After not driving for about 10 years, getting back behind the wheel was super nerve-wracking. Shafi was such a great instructor. He was calm, supportive, and always really clear during lessons, which made a huge difference in helping me build my confidence on the road. His knowledge and patience are exactly what you want in a driving instructor. I did five lessons total, plus a warm-up and car rental for my road test, and I passed on my first try! They also have a ton of flexible options, whether you’re looking for lesson packages, a single lesson, or just a car rental for your road test - there’s something for everyone. I had an excellent experience learning to drive with Shafi! I was a complete beginner when I started and quickly got to a place where I felt very comfortable behind the wheel.. Shafi was extremely patient and helpful: I highly recommend him. My only complaint is that the organisation from the back office was not always that great - perhaps they could invest in some kind of digital booking system as it feels fairly archaic to book lessons through a slow process of back-and-forth emails..

I took 5 lessons with VDS in the fall and felt like my instructors did not cover everything I needed to know. I was right. I re-booked in the spring and took 3 lessons with Shafi. He taught me everything I needed to know. Knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging: He is the one to go to!
